You can always switch to the terminal to see the render progress. If you have any "Per Comp" notifications, the title bar of the Terminal will say which comp it is currently rendering. Love the BG renderer plugin! But coming from the discontinued Nucleo Pro plugin I have some small feature requests.

Just make sure you have the 'Skip Existing Frames' option set in the Render Settings.
