Features

• Pixelates into circles and rings.
• Shading option to simulate spherical and torus objects.
• 32bit Floating Point Support (AE only).

Parameters:

• Dimension Factor: The dimension factor to pixelate the image and also the size of each pixel block after pixelation. Increase this parameter to increase the size of each block/circle/ring generated by the filter.
• Outer Roundness: The Outer roundness of each pixel block. Increase this parameter to decrease the size of each circle.
• Inner Radius: Control the radius if the inner circle in a ring. Increase this parameter to make the ring thinner.
• Shading Type: Type of shading to be applied to pixel blocks. Spherical shading is generally applied to circles and Ring shading is applied to get shaded rings.
• Shading: Amount of shading to be applied for each circle/ring. By default no shading is applied.
• Fill Background: Checkbox to fill background with a color or not. By default, the background is transparent.
• BG Color: The Background color to apply, if ‘Fill Background’ is checked.

Data Glitch is a native After Effects plugin that creates awesome realistic digital image glitches with total ease. Something you would see during a satellite transmission or a cable broadcast or from a damaged disk. Bad TV plugin is great for analog TV look, but this is 2010 and you hardly see anything that’s analog anymore. This plugin simulates a realistic digital glitch effect.
In real-life most of the glitches occur due to problems in encoding/decoding and sometimes data corruption. This plugin does exactly that. It encodes the data, glitches the data and then decodes it similar to the real life situation.

If you are using the plugin in After Effects and you have an OpenGL 2.0 video card (most machines made in the last few years have them) then use the native plugin, otherwise use the pixel bender version. If you are using it in Flash, then use the flash version.

Native Plugin Usage:

1. Apply the effect from Effects > Gutsblow > Bad TV
2. Change the rest of the parameters according to your wish.

Pixel Bender Usage:

1. Apply the effect from Effects > Gutsblow > Bad TV Pixel Bender
2. Alt-Click on the Time parameter and insert the expression ‘time’. (Since it’s a Pixel Bender plugin, you have to input time manually.)
3. Change the rest of the parameters according to your wish.

You can also use this plugin for Photoshop CS4. For Flash CS4 install the pixel bender version labeled for flash.

Install it in the Plugins folder. Inside After Effects you will find it in the Effects menu under the Gutsblow category.

Native AE plugins are compatible with AE7 and above and Pixel Bender plugins are compatible with AE and Flash CS4 and above. Important: Only install one or the other, installing both the native and pixel bender plugin will cause a conflict.
