Problem with Screen Equalizer

I cannot seem to get this thing to work correctly. Is his examples, his shot comes out clean without having to clip the whites or blacks. With my footage, I still have to clip both to get it clean. Is my footage that bad or am I just missing something? Any help would be appreciated and I attached two jpegs of my footage I am trying to key.
