    • I’m wondering if you could combine this script with your Create Several Trimmed Adjustment Layers script. I’ve got a project, and all of my shots are PreComps in that project. This script creates a text layer inside each PreComp, but for my final render, I need to go into each individual PreComp and hide the info text layers. I’d love a script where I could select all my shot PreComps in my final comp and it would create separate text layers with the name of the PreComp below it. I tried to combine your two scripts myself, but I know zilch about javascript and was getting errors at every turn.

      Cheers!

    • Great script but infos about the current layer/shot name within the composition would be amazing… Thank you!

    • Is there a script that can do the same thing but for each, layer/shot on the time line?

Project Name, Name of layer, date,

So if there are 3 layers in the comp. Each would have its file name, date and project as text on it.

    • is their any way that the scripts loads up automatically every time i start a new project.

    • Nice script! Is there a way to get the date in a full numeric display ie: 29/03/08

    • Hey Leo,

You are getting that error because the project needs to be saved first so that AE knows what it’s name is, but i took the opportunity to update the script so that it catches this error with an alert now that explains what you should do. So if you re-download the scripts you should be good to go!
      Thanks for letting me know..

    • Hello,

I added the scripts into the scripts folder in my After Effects cs3 running Vista Ultimate 32bit.

I try and add the script to the project, project null etc and I get the following errors “unable to execute scripts at line 13: null is not a object”

      Am I doing somehting wrong?

      Thanks,

      Leo
