Hey Paul... love this script. I also agree it would be nice to delete an effect/multiple effects from your UI. I would also like a quick link to the layer where the effect is applied... currently we have to hunt it down in the project window.

Thanks!

Hey Paul, this script looks like exactly what I need if it had the ability to either replace effects or delete them. The example I have is as follows:

I used the plugin "Unmult" on a project that I later needed to send over to a friend to work on. When he tried to open it on a different computer the effect came up as missing even though its installed. The effect works once we reapply it but not when it was applied on the original machine. I used this effect over a hundred times and would be great if I could just reapply the effect to all layers at once by essentially replacing the old unmult with the new one.
I have tons of nested comps and to go through it all would be a nightmare. I would gladly support this script and donate if you could get this to work anytime soon.

Thanks a bunch Paul,
>Joe

That's a good idea. I am working on an update to this script so I'll have a think about implementing that. In what kind of situation would you want to delete effects using Effect Search?

Thanks Paul
Very useful script, but I miss the option to delete the effect.
