Based on a request over at http://aenhancers.com Trim to Layer Above will trim the layers that are selected to be the same length as the layer above it. This should be useful for track mattes, glows, tint layers, adjustment layers, difference layers, etc.
Trim to Layer Below, well, trims the layer below the selected layer.
The package includes both scripts.

Nice script! Would be nice if it also did trim to layer below though. Or a script that created trimmed adjustment layers for selected layers would be awesome.
Of course! Don’t know why I didn’t include the trim to layer below version the first time around, but it’s there now.
Damn you work fast! Thank you! You don’t know how long I’ve wanted these scripts.
Wow, this is great! It’s damn annoying to zoom in every time to get the layers start and end exatcly in the same time.
these fucking rule
GREAT! thanks!
UR greatness is immeasurable. Just came here to find the solution for the BG Preview crash thingy in CS4 and discovered these other goodies I’ve been missing out on. Time to buy another beer…cheers…
This is a great script and works for me in CS5. Would LOVE it if I could dock a couple buttons in a panel so I didn’t have to fish through the menu and list of scripts!
But love these anyway! Thanks!
Have you tried Script Launcher? http://aescripts.com/rd-script-launcher/
It would be great in the next release if I could select two layers and trim no matter how far apart they are stacked.
Also, if I could trim several layers at once in either direction. (it works with Above, but not Below)
