Description

ap_batch_relinker

ap_batch_relinker works a bit like Premiere Pro to relink multiple offline media.

It's ignoring special characters when comparing footage names (for both source and scanned files). When encountering issues with special characters (due to encoding differences between macOS and Windows), you can perform a batch rename on all footage in Finder using a batch rename utility (to remove diacritics) and relink footage with diacritic-less files.

Usage

ROOT FOLDER Select the new starting point for new sources or renamed sources. Creates a normalized list of offline media (e.g., "vidéo.mp4" is interpreted as "video.mp4") and lists all files found in the targeted folder (names are also normalized).

RELINK ALL → Relinks all offline media in the project if a new source is found.

RELINK SELECTION Relinks only the offline media selected in the project panel.

When multiple sources match with offline media, the user can choose which new source to prioritize (if the source folder has the same name as the offline source, relinking happens automatically).

There's an alert for .PSD .PSB and .AI files that are interpreted as separate layers (impossible to auto-relink), which can be forced (losing separate layers) or ignored to handle manually (the script provides the new location so you don't have to search for it).

Works with image sequences.
