Description

Helps to keep After Effects project source files organized and centrally located.

Many AE users prefer to keep project source files centrally located. But, no matter how organized you try to be, you might find groups of files scattered around.

Maybe temp files from your downloads folder that you were just trying out. But became permanent.

Or reusable elements from an external hard drive or server. But now that you're archiving the project, you need to keep a copy local to your project.

You could use the native 'Collect Files...' option. But this will silo each AE project individually, and duplicate all source files. Even if the same footage is used in multiple AE projects.

Features

Migrate this Project / Gather Linked Files

Keeps source files organized and centrally located by moving (or copying) source files that currently reside outside of your project directory. Those project items are then automatically linked to these newly moved source files.

Cleanup Directory

Allows user to analyze multiple AE projects to catalog all used source files. And then remove any files in your chosen directory that are not being used.

Options

Copy Files or Move (to remove original)

Link to Items in chosen directory (without moving or copying anything new)

Affect only Selected Items

Remove Proxy links from project items

Keep AE Folder Heirchy when writing moving/copying files

Transfer data using Terminal/Command Prompt to avoid tying up After Effects while data transfers

Skip files based on:

  • Extension
  • Characters in file path
  • Data Size

Mac & Windows file systems both compatible
