01 / COMPOSE
It looks shot. Not cropped.
Auto-reframe asks which part of the image to keep. forge asks where the subject belongs. It reads the frame, finds the eye line, and sets it on the upper third with lead room in the direction of the gaze, the same call a DP makes on every setup. Each layout gets its own math, because a face that works in 16:9 sits somewhere else entirely in 9:16. Position and Scale only. Your source media is never touched.
02 / SHORT FORM
Change the frame before they scroll.
Talking head. Corner reaction. Full-frame punch-in. Side-by-side. Circle lower-third. A frame that holds too long is the moment attention breaks, so short-form cuts move through layouts constantly, and every layout moves the thirds with it. A face composed for full-frame is wrong the instant it drops into a corner box. forge recomputes the eye line for each one and writes it in a click.
03 / MASK
Nest once.
Nesting is masking. Nest a clip and forge cuts it to the layout, anything outside that region is gone. Skip the nest and the framing is identical, but nothing is cut, so the rest of the clip stays visible around it. That's why a stacked layout only needs one nest. The masked layer covers whatever the unmasked one spills.
04 / MULTIPLE CLIPS
Frame every clip at once.
Select multiple clips and forge gives them all the same position and scale, read from the eyes at your playhead. Works inside a nest with multiple clips too. Best on footage that doesn't move, a guest in the same chair all episode.
05 / DELIVER
Every format gets its own composition.
Duplicate the sequence, set the new frame size, run forge on the new canvas. The layout math adapts to horizontal, vertical, and square, so each version is composed for its format instead of cropped back into view.
06 / MOVE
Composition first. Then motion.
Scrub or type X, Y, Scale, and Rotation without opening Effect Controls. Key all four or arm them individually. Build 2–99 frame directional moves with motion blur through Transform, and step back through the last three inside the panel.

What comes with the product?
The extension, its local face-detection helper, the complete user manual, and the finished tutorial. License activation and installation are handled through the aescripts + aeplugins Manager.
Does forge upload my footage?
No. Face detection runs locally through the included native helper; your footage is not sent to a cloud service.
Do I have to nest every clip?
No. Full-frame person and cinema treatments can work directly on raw clips. Layouts that use mattes and guides create or work through a nest so the composition stays organized and editable.
What happens when no face is detected?
forge uses the chosen layout's centered framing as a safe fallback. You can then refine Position, Scale, and Rotation directly in the panel.
Can I change the result afterward?
Yes. forge writes standard Premiere positioning and effects. Adjust them in the panel or Premiere, keyframe the result, use forge's three-step move history, or restore the clip or nest.

License Grant
This Agreement entitles you to install and use one copy of the Software Product. In addition, you may make one archival copy of the Software Product. The archival copy must be on a storage medium other than a hard drive, and may only be used for the reinstallation of the Software Product. This Agreement does not permit the installation or use of multiple copies of the Software Product, or the installation of the Software Product on more than one computer at any given time, on a system that allows shared used of applications, on a multi-user network, or on any configuration or system of computers that allows multiple users. Multiple copy use or installation is only allowed if you obtain an appropriate licensing agreement for each user and each copy of the Software Product.
Restrictions on Transfer
Without first obtaining the express written consent of the author, you may not assign your rights and obligations under this Agreement, or redistribute, encumber, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or otherwise transfer your rights to the Software Product.
Restrictions on Use
You may not use, copy, or install the Software Product on any system with more than one computer, or permit the use, copying, or installation of the Software Product by more than one user or on more than one computer. If you hold multiple, validly licensed copies, you may not use, copy, or install the Software Product on any system with more than the number of computers permitted by license, or permit the use, copying, or installation by more users, or on more computers than the number permitted by license.
You may not decompile, "reverse-engineer", disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code for the Software Product.
Restrictions on Alteration
You may not modify the Software Product or create any derivative work of the Software Product or its accompanying documentation. Derivative works include but are not limited to translations. You may not alter any files or libraries in any portion of the Software Product.
Restrictions on Copying
You may not copy any part of the Software Product except to the extent that licensed use inherently demands the creation of a temporary copy stored in computer memory and not permanently affixed on storage medium. You may make one archival copy which must be stored on a medium other than a computer hard drive.

Limitation of Remedies and Damages
Any claim must be made within the applicable warranty period. All limited warranties on the Software Product are granted only to you and are non-transferable. Governing Law, Jurisdiction and Costs
This Agreement is governed by the laws of New York, without regard to New York's conflict or choice of law provisions.
Severability
If any provision of this Agreement shall be held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder of this Agreement shall remain in full force and effect. To the extent any express or implied restrictions are not permitted by applicable laws, these express or implied restrictions shall remain in force and effect to the maximum extent permitted by such applicable laws.
