Hi Charles thanks for the quick response. Unfortunately even when full resolution it does the same. Any other ideas?
    Thanks

  • HI,

I'm having a problem getting my keyframes to hold using the "use previous keyframe" method. it causes my elements to move into a tiny circle before heading to the next design in my source layer.

also is there a way to set up the layer distribution to appear the same way every time? like if I was using the same treatment on many title cards?

  • Hi Jake,

2 important things when using Pastiche:
    1/Always precomp your source.
2/Always set your preview to "Full resolution" before hitting create.

And no you cannot "memorize" the distribution. You could copy/paste the keyframes of the layers using a script.

    Cheers.

Thanks for getting back to me, Val.

I can confirm that those to requirements are fulfilled. I have provided 4 screen shots to show you how the sequence plays out.

As you can tell by the screenshots the source is precomped. I have set markers on my precomped layer to instruct pastiche to animate from 1. a dot to 2. a number, 3. hold for 1 second then 4. animate from number to word. under position and scale dropdown boxes, I have animated the following in sync with my layer markers previously mentioned; 1. Pos: Organic, Scale: From Neighborhood. 2. Pos: Organic, Scale: From Neighborhood. 3. Pos: Use Previous Value, Scale: Use Previous Value. 4. Pos: Organic, Scale: From Neighborhood.

as you can see by the result, the animation from 2-3 is not a hold, but a move and scale back to a dot. then, as we come out of 3-4, what is supposed to be a top to bottom, as you can see in on my timeline and effect tab, is a move and scale from the center.
