Hi, trying to import an auto-traced masked into Mocha using the TRACK button. The import works, but Mocha becomes very slow and unstable. I tried simplifying the masks and removing keyframes and that has helped with Mocha speed significantly but not with stability— some vertices show up with warped tangents and clicking them in Mocha crashes the plugin. Does this have anything to do with MochaImport+? Is there a better mask conversion that can happen in this this script?
I am not aware of such an issue and you are the first person reporting this.
I recommend that you send your sample project to Boris FX support, since if their app is crashing, they are the only ones who can investigate what is going on.
Maybe mocha is not really optimized to handle bezier masks with a keyframe on each frame, but it should definitely work. Maybe you can import a matte layer instead of a bezier mask?
please check the file you uploaded. It seems the latest download is still v11, created May 2-22. I replaced v11 with the older v10 and now it works fine again
Oh, thanks for the feedback, Christine. Something went wrong while updating the product. It is fixed now and you should have the download for 6.0.012 in your customer account now.

Not sure if it's only me but I just noticed that when applying stabilised precomp with live expressions instead of keryframes the corner pin position gets miss-aligned. If i do it without live expressions it seems to work. Might be to do with new release of mocha? Could you please look into it? Thank you!

Same here. I stopped using Live Expressions over a year ago if I remember correctly.
Thank you for reporting this, Viliam! I am not aware of such an issue, yet. Could you please open a support ticket and attach an example where the problem occurs? Ideally two duplicates of the comp, where you apply the live expressions variant to one and the keyframes variant to the other one.
The only thing I am aware of is an issue that might occur, when the corner pin deforms in crazy ways (like almost becoming a straight line). In that case the precision of the calculation faces some limits and might result in wrong placement.

yes, it is compatible with Ae 2024 and 2025. If you run into any issues, best open a support ticket. And before you buy, best test with the free trial version if it meets your expectations.
win 10
I installed mochaimport+ through AE import script dialog.
scripts are "allowed to..." in preferences
mochaimport+ asks for serial every time AE starts.
I replaced v11 with the older v10 and now it works fine again
Cheers
