  • Hello Autokroma,
Your RAW plugin looks a very good alternative to Adobe's Camera Raw colour grading tool. Can I use Braw Studio to import Blackmagic image sequence files in to After Effects, and output them as QuickTime Pro Res files? If so, how is this done?

    Best regards, Peter

    Hi Peter,
Are you talking about CinemaDNG ? BRAW Studio doesn't support CinemaDNG and Influx Importer (our other importer plugin) doesn't yet.
You can output QuickTime ProRes with AfterCodecs Exporter !
  • Antoine Autokroma,
    Thank you for your response.
I find this process somewhat confusing. Am I to understand BRAW Studio is basically a more elegant alternative to Adobe's Camera Raw, but like Camera Raw cannot convert BlackMagic Cinema Camera DNG to Pro Res? However you say Autokroma's AfterCodecs Exporter will output these files as Quicktime PRORES. I see on your site you have made this product available for Premiere, After Effects or both. Thank you again, I will trial the AE version.

    Hi Peter,
To import CinemaDNG and export into Quicktime ProRes, you need BOTH
    1) An IMPORTER of CinemaDNG

    2) An EXPORTER of ProRes

You don't have the 1). BRAW Studio is for Blackmagic RAW .BRAW as written everywhere and NOT CinemaDNG.

We are working on this on Influx Importer. Nothing linked with BRAW Studio.

If you can ever import CinemaDNG into Adobe, you can export to Quicktime ProRes with official Quicktime Exporter or through AfterCodecs Exporter
  • BRAW Studio lets you color grade Blackmagic RAW files but technically Adobe Camera Raw is for raw images (not video) and has more options
  • For now I think you could simply import into DaVinci Resolve it's fast and free
  • Hey, I'm getting an error, when i try to access the raw data,

BRAW merged clips are not supported for old version of premiere pro before 2020

Both on Mac and Windows. Using the latest install of Premiere 2023 on both systems.

    could you help?

    Hello Norbert,
Seems there is something special in your project. Maybe it has been created with old Premiere Pro versions ? Does it contain Merged Clips ?
