  • I would be shocked if anyone ever got this plugin to work without it crashing AE. What a mess.

  • Y is only the small model included and not large ? seams like you jumped the gun on this one again. it also locks up with clips under 3 min.
    and no I will not open a support ticket. no point till large model is implemented.

    the render stop issue might be driver related. I reverted back to an older version just to see and its doing the same thing and shouldn't be.
    new nvidia driver installed and also was using last past driver. going to try driver from months ago and see.

    ok seams to have been the driver and a setting in AE that I was told about a wile back. I could have swore I turned it off before testing but any way be sure to disable multi frame rendering in AE and im using Nvidia driver 551.23 international dch with depth scanner on default settings except sub pix smoothing, its turned off. rendering is now smooth.

    also stops rendering with more than 1 sample so so this isnt the 100% fix so something else is wrong cause ive been using 4 samples with no issues and some other setting. been on AE 2022 for a wile and 2024 does the same thing.

    not using new depth scanner. new small model don't pick up enough footage

     
  • This worked on initial install, but now every version is bricked.
    Doesn't work AT ALL now. I'm Mac, and I know two other very experienced users both PC and Mac with the exact same issues.

    Like below, I won't put in a ticket because I've put in a ticket before and crickets, so won't bother.
    PLEASE fix this, it WAS pretty darn good until now...

    Hey, we can only include the small model for licensing issues. The large one cannot be deployed commercially at the moment. I understand your frustration but opening a ticket is the only way for us to investigate the bug.

    Hey Stewart, I understand your frustration. But please know, that a opening a ticket is the only way to give us a chance to fix the bug. We are seeing one bug for some users at the moment, maybe you are affected by it. But still, an individual report would help the most. :)

    doesn't the corporation do testing before releasing ? and I know the developer of the models for depth anything and that's a load of bull,  cause they don't charge for the models. nice try tho. you CAN freely download them and use them in IW3. you just cant see whats going on during processing with that program.

  • The log-sequence bug is fixed in the latest release :)
  • The latest version of this installer is bad it says its installing and appears to install correctly but afterwards it says"  Corrupted data.  I have uninstalled it twice and cleared the cache but it doesnt resolve the issue.  So for anyone else who loves this plug in dont update yet until they can figure out whats going on. 

    Edit:  Ok It got fixed just in case anyone else has the problem completely uninstall it and clear the download cache so it has to redownload.  I am not sure if they fixed the file or if the one i downloaded just kept getting corrupted.  At least its working now time to create!!!

  • I apologize for sounding like a jerk. Just frustrated.
    Got it working somewhat again by not putting an adjustment layer over the footage and then masking, which is how I do this on 1:33 footage so as not to have it see the black sidebars. THAT just doesn't work anymore on any of the settings.

    BUT STILL it will crash after 8000 frames or so - says it's out of memory. But this is a Mac M2 Ultra with 128 gb, and one thing I notice is it says it's only addressing maybe 20% of the ram, used to say like 80% if that's any help...

    Full disclosure, I have now used another implementation of the v2 large maps, and they are a must-have when you can get them.
    And hopefully do, because your interface is much more sophisticated than any basic developer one...

    Recently I took updates for three of your plugins. All seemed fine. However, true to form not one of your products currently work on my Mac Pro. The constant need to quit AE because of your plugins' frailty is professionally unacceptable. Please fix your products to work in After Effects. Or, sell your products to a larger company such as Boris FX, who are in a better position to update and debug them, along with providing quick and effective customer support. P

A quick viewing of customer comments of Blace Plugins' products suggests I am far from the only one who thinks these plugins are barely up to standard for professional use, and require a great deal of research and development before being placed on the commercial market.

    Furthermore, the reputation of aescripts + aeplugins is on the line with under performing products such as Blace Plugins. Either this host company guarantees ALL the products they represent, or they begin to whittle them down.

    If Blace Plugins cannot get your act together ASAP, and take full responsibility for their products, then I want a refund for all products I have purchased from then. Peter S

    Hey Peter, I fully understand this is frustrating for you. The only thing we can do at the moment to kindly ask you to help us figure out the bug. As I wrote in the support ticket some things can only be solved with some help by the customers. We are aware that this is not optimal but are working very hard to limit those cases to a bare minimum.

    I am sorry you had a bad experience with the plugin. If you provide us with some more input, we will be able to issue a fix. This problem seems limited to older Intel Macs.

    No, if the needed files are already present, the installer will recognize them and not download again.

However, in the number of years I have owned Blace Plugins (Depth Scanner, Goodbye Greenscreen, Easy Comp and Mask Prompter) I have never been able to get these products to work on video longer than two seconds, on FHD or 2K clips, and on inconvenient occasions. In my opinion these plugins are the most over rated on this site, save the equally buggy, unreliable BSKL plugins. 

    Please do not give me the, "you are dealing with cutting edge technology" explanation. If these plugins were cutting edge from others would be developing them, and this renown company would not release them until they were significantly robust and worked first time. As it is I feel I have paid Blace Plugins for products that regardless of their updates, are still in developmental Beta. Not a good look by any commercial company standards.

    Hey Peter, submitting and cooperating on the bug ticket is the fastest way to solve your issue. Yes, I am on your side, the bug should not be there in the first place, but without further input we cannot help you.

    Adobe after effect error in last versions of depth scanner... Please find a solution. Versions 14.0 and 15.0 are working fine.
