Why would the largest discount go to those who purchased it this year rather than those who supported this plugin longer? Seems very backwards...
People pay for a product like this so that they can use it and get value out of it. And, because it's a one-off purchase not a subscription, the longer they are able to use it, the more value they get out of it. If we took the price that a given user paid (it has increased over the years) and divided that cost by the number of days they've had the value of it, we'd get a kind of 'daily cost' of the tool. The folks who bought it a long time ago would have a much lower daily cost than the ones who bought it recently. So to me, it seems more fair to let the recent buyers, who have a much higher daily cost of v1, to pay a bit less than those who've gained more value from it.
I'm tempted to buy it, I would have liked to see a walk/run cycle option like in Duik, maybe in the next update?
Not in the next update, no. And probably not ever. Our focus is on helping folks make better character animation more than it's on automation. Also, the way things are going I'm not convinced that canned movements have much of a future.
