    I bought the plugin, there are errors in AE CC 2017.4:
    "This project contains expression errors".

    I tried using "twist" on a pre-comp and "bend" on a solid with a mask.

    EDIT: Fremox answered the support ticket, the issue will be fixed. :)

    Maybe it's not an international Version? I've got many expression-errors too. When I try to run AE in the english version to change the scripts with Expression-Universalizer2, I'm asked to enter the license-code again. But I did this of course in the original version (german). I need the license installed on two computers and I'm afraid to do this now...

    The language shouldn't be an issue here since I have used the pseudo effects matchnames.

    BUT, there is effectively a strange issue where some tabulations (that I couldn't see with my own versions in both french and english languages) have been replaced by weird characters like "Ê" !
    That's why it doesn't work for you.

    And I've already created a "patch" to fix it. All I need is to have the confirmation of several users that all works properly with it.


    Please download the latest version and re-install.

    Then restart your AfterEffects and retry any tools in the script..
    Normally it should have fixed all the expressions issues !

    Le problème a été résolu.
    Il suffit de re-télécharger la dernière version 1.0.1 et de réinstaller proprement le produit.

    I just purchased this plugin and I already have 2 problems.

    I have installed it with the AeScripts + AEPlugins Manager for CS6 and CC2017.

    The error I get on CS6 after applying Parenting, like in your first tutorial: http://prntscr.com/f3b0ud
    On CC2017 it won't wiggle, the Position property is not expression - parented to the layer created:

    Your issue seems to do not have the pseudo effect's properly installed.
    Please install all the manual components manually PLUS be sure to have run the pseudo-effect installer first, as explained in my 1st tutorial (installation and intro).

    Once the pseudo-effect will be correctly installed, you won't have this parenting issue at all.

    The native motion blur of AE can't analyse the real transformed geometry of the deformed layer since it's fully faked with some effects.
    You could use some plugins, like Real Smart Motion Blur, or even the native CC Force motion blur (as explained here : http://creativedojo.net/reelsmart-motion-blur-vs-cc-force-motion-blur/) on top of your animated layer and it will do the trick, but keep in mind that it would increase your renders !

    Hey, I re-installed it using the method explained in the Video Tutorial but I have the same problems, I am an AE user for 8 years and I know how to install a script. It's just not working. Check these pictures:


    I'll do a clean re-install to see if the problem is still there, but please check this once again. Would you like to have a skype?

    It seems that you didn't install the pseudo-effets properly (i can see this due to the "missing effect" message that appears again in the pop-up window).
    Please un-install the whole script with AeScripts + AEPlugins Manager , then run the "SpringyFX - PE Installer.jsx" file from File>Scripts menu first, and ensure that the message that appears once completed says it has been correctly installed.
    After that, re-start AE and it should work as expected.

    I can't figure it out from where i am right now, but I will come back to you tonight.

    Only one of the 9 tools - the one called JIGGLE - uses the puppet tool indeed.
    Please report to the end of the description on this page (description tab) where i'm talking about the differences with Rubberize it.

    The pseudo-installer was a buggy !
    Sorry for all this, it has been fixed now.
    Just download the latest version (1.0.2) and re-install the product exactly as shown in the "Part 1 : Installation and introduction" video tutorial.

    The pseudo effect should have been properly installed and all must work as expected.

    The pseudo-installer was a bit buggy (I double checked it again) !
    Sorry for all this, it has been fixed now.
    Please just download the latest version (1.0.2) and re-install the product exactly as shown in the "Part 1 : Installation and introduction" video tutorial.

    The pseudo effect should have been properly installed and all must work as expected.

    Yes, it should work with any version since my expressions refer to match-names and relative path.
    It has been tested in French and english, so there aren't any reason why it would not work.

    Sorry for this, but it HAS to work ; i've just tried with another people that had the same problem than yours, and it did work properly.
    I'm 99% sure that the problem comes with some permissions on your PresetEffects.xml file or with some firewalls !

    So, could you :

    1/ ensure that your "PresetEffects.xml" file in your AfterEffects' ressources folder is set to allow read AND write for anyone on your machine ?
    You can do this by doing all the steps in this tutorial (it's for MAC only. I can't explain the process for PC since i do not own any one... But it should be rather similar) : 

    2/ Double check is the option called "Allow the scripts to write files and access network" is enabled BEFORE running the pseudo-installer from the SCRIPT > RUN SCRIPT command

    3/ Disable temporarily your firewalls during the "SCRIPT > RUN SCRIPT"  step (when you install the SpringyFX - PE Installer.jsx file). You can re-activate your firewalls after AE has re-started entirely.

    Then, re-try the tools of the script and it should normally work.
    If it is not the case, I have a last idea to install the pseudo-effects manually, but i prefer not to do it with you right now since it's a bit tricky and not that simple to explain/understand.

    I am sorry to say I am having the same problem. I have installed (and uninstalled and reinstalled, restarted, etc. several times) I followed all the steps including setting the write permissions on my "PresetEffects.xml" file. I have no firewall. But still, using version 1.0.2, nothing happens except the creation of the "Constraint CNTRL" layer. No expressions generated and no change to 3d layer. I am in CS6 on a mac (10.11.6). Would really like this to work -- looks like a great script. Sorry for your hassles.

    I'm happy to say that the first point made it work! I have set the permissions in the PresetEffects.xml file to r/w for everyone, not only system and administrator, and now Parent Constraint makes what it should. Thanks!

    Note to anyone that have some issues with messages that give you some errors in 8 expressions, please re-download the latest version "SpringyFX_v1.0.2" and re-install it properly.

    For those how still had some problems with the Parent constraint (and the Custom effect as well), please verify that you had already tested the new pseudo-effects installer contained in the latest version "SpringyFX_v1.0.2".
    If it still not work, please ensure that your "PresetEffects.xml" file in your AfterEffects' ressources folder is set to allow read AND write for anyone before running the installer from AE>File>Script>Run script...
    You must set the permissions to be on read AND write for admin, user and EVERYONE , by following this tutorial from Lloyd (it's for MAC only. I can't explain the process for PC since i do not own any one... But it should be rather similar) :

    If it doesn't work for you, you may have some weird strange parameters on your machin that blocks the pseudo-installer process. The ultimate thing that you can do then, is to :

    Finally ! 
    I managed to find the problem with CS6 versions !
    It was due to only one .ffx contained in the assets folder that had been created in earlier versions of AfterEffects (such CC .ffx can't be read nor be applied in CS6 !).

    So - SORRY for all that - but I ask you to re-install (for the last time I hope) entirely the script... using the LATEST version (be sure to uninstall all the old components from before, and to install only the new 1.0.3 version of the tool, available in your Downloads and Licences).

    Installing your script has made the new AE crash when I open projects. Additionally, when I try a new project, the script successfully applies the pseudo effects, but fails to apply the expressions to make the effects work. I've tried both 1.0.2 and 1.0.3

     Hello,

    Running on a PC with AE CC- 2014 this is not working.( v.1.03)  I have just installed it.To be more precise the expressions are not applied. I went to check my presets.xml  settings and I believe it is set to read+write. ( I'm not a specialist in that field)
    the only thing I did not do was to disable the firewall.

    Please advise.

    Same prob as Natalia. Preset XML is set on read and write (everyone included). Preferences are ok. Installed and reinstalled. Still won't work. Expressions are not applied, parent constraint is not set on 3D etc... Pc / After effects cc 2014.

    Yes you are right !
    I've talked a bit about it in the tutorials : you can't use continuously rasterized layers like Shape Layers, Text layers, AND illustrator designs that have the "collapse transform" option enabled.
    This is normal since my toolset mainly use one effect that is called "WARP" ; and it has to do with the bounding box of the pixels contained in a layer, that change when you apply "collapse transform" option !

    How did you create the type treatment in your promo video? I ran though each tool to recreate some kind of jiggle and couldn't get it to look anything like what you have. I pre-composed and resized, moved it, and nothing really looked good.

    After All this is not working AT All.  Very disappointed indeed.

    It creates the expressions with the parent constraint option as well as the 3D, BUT, every time I select the controller ( Null) AE crashes. It says:

    "After Effects error: internal verification failure, sorry! { unexpected match name searched for in group}. ( 29::0).

    Then I have to restart my PC.

    Also, I don't get the animation you show at your promo video.

    Very disappointed about this plug-in. I have changed the .xml but doesn't seem to solve the problem.
    I don't know how the developer created the promo-video, but even as I'm following his steps I never get the same.

    I don't recommend it at all and I hope there's a way to get my money back.

    You convey a very bad feeling about the script, but other people manage to use it and like it. 
    So please open a support ticket so we can try to resolve your issues.
