Automate a ball rolling on a 3D path

Hello Everyone, does anyone know if there is a script or plugin that will help automatically track a rolling object on a 3D path? for example I have a ball and I'm finding almost impossible to keyframe a ball that makes zig zaggy patterns at different speeds etc...

Not aware of any 3D solvers for After Effects but you can use Newton to do it in 2D and then you can rotate that layer in 3D. -
