  hey patrick- just out of curiosity, could you try putting the rest of your scripts in a temporary folder on the desktop and just put type monkey in there...I wonder if theres some sort of conflict going on that we haven't heard of....you should be able to render it out no problem. BTW what os and ae version are u using?
