FAQS
How do I use GridTrend with a profile picture in the center?
  • First, ensure your grid settings have an odd number of rows and columns (e.g., 3x3) to make room for a central picture.
  • Import all your media, including your profile picture, into the After Effects project panel.
  • Open the 'Settings' window to set the main composition's name and size.
  • Select your profile picture from the project panel, then click the 'Person' button.
  • Finally, select the rest of your media files and click the 'Grid' button to generate the grid.
What should I do if the 'Person' button isn't working?

The 'Person' button requires a grid with a center, meaning the rows and columns must be an odd number greater than 3 (like 3x3 or 5x5). Check your settings to ensure they meet these conditions.

How can I rearrange items without moving the profile picture?

When you set a profile picture with the 'Person' button, it's locked in the center. You can use the 'Swap' button to randomly rearrange all other media without affecting the profile picture.

Why do I see a "number of items doesn't match" warning?

To fix this, make sure the number of files you select exactly matches the total number of cells in your grid (rows x columns). If you are using a profile picture, remember that it occupies one cell, so you need to select one less file.

How can I delete the grid I just created?

Simply click the 'Delete' button. This button is designed to remove only the most recent grid you created, which helps keep your project organized without affecting any older grids.
