How to create isometric grids in After Effects

Learn how to create isometric grids in After Effects with the extension GridGuide. Our setup allows to snap to all crossing points of the grid interactively. Furthermore, layers can be moved from one grid cell to the next one easily and accurately.

Since After Effects does not support diagonal guide lines, isometric grids cannot be turned into snappable guides directly. But here we show a clever trick to complement the diagonal lines of the isometric grid with horizontal and vertical guidelines such that you can still snap to all intersection points of the isometric grid.
