Learn how to create dynamic rope connections between layers in After Effects using the Rope Connection feature in Springy FX v1.5. Select two layers, click a button, and you've got a springy rope rig that reacts to position animation automatically.

Author Notes

Springy FX - the procedural secondary animation toolset - has been updated to version 1.5!

Among other little changes (bugfixes and expressions optimizations), this version also offers a very cool new feature called "Rope Connection", that will allow you to create a springy rope connection between 2 selected layers, that will react to the layers' position animation.

The technique is based on another, older, popular tutorial (Create a Dynamic Rope in After Effects) where SpringyFX and a few expressions were used to achieve the same goal... now, it's made in seconds with the click of a button :)
