Notes:

  1. Floating Licenses for Linux aren't going to be available just yet. I need to find a license server!
  2. Render licenses available soon.
  3. In my promo video I say you can't do this in Resolve. It's been brought to my attention that there are ways to do it in Fusion. The promo video contains a comment section with more detail about it!

Description

Wrap It

Professional 3D camera projection for Autodesk Flame / Davinci Resolve. No 2D hacks. Real 3D.
Load Alembic files, unwrap 3D geometry to UV space, or rewrap textures back onto models.

Truly 3D Camera Projection for OFX

Wrap It bridges the gap between 3D applications and Autodesk Flame / Davinci Resolve, enabling VFX artists to work with real 3D geometry right in their compositing timeline.

Unwrap Mode (3D → UV) Transform your 3D geometry into flat UV space. Extract textures from projected camera footage, creating clean plates from tracked shots. The unwrapped output gives you direct access to the texture data that would appear on your 3D surfaces.

Rewrap Mode (UV → 3D) Paint, manipulate, or composite your textures in 2D, then rewrap them back onto your 3D geometry through the camera. Perfect for adding graphics to tracked surfaces, fixing blemishes in texture space, or applying effects that need to live on the 3D surface.

Alembic Support Load .abc files directly from Maya, Houdini, Cinema 4D, Blender, or any Alembic-compatible application. Wrap It handles animated geometry with full support for vertex animation and deformations.

System Requirements

  • Autodesk Flame for Linux & Mac. Tested on 2025 and 2026.
    • Davinci Resolve for Windows, Mac, & Linux
      • GPU recommended for optimal performance
