Having trouble re-connecting layers after closing file in after effects

I had created 3 separate geolayers and reopened the comp this morning. I could not connect to the existing geolayers I saw that someone said to create a new MapComp and they would reconnect... I tried to making a new MapComp1 but still did not see the existing layers... What am I doing wrong?
