Script to remove unnecessary keyframes from a mask?

Hi,
I've looked around but can't seem to find a script that does this:

Is there a script which will look at a mask's tracker-generated every-frame keyframes and remove those frames that fall under some threshold of being similar to their predecessor? I'm taking data out of AE to use elsewhere and removing these frames would be helpful.

You can use the built-in "Smoother" under the "Window" menu

Also, if you want to remove points from a maks path itself (not keyframes) you can use SimplifyMasks

Thanks Lloyd! Smoother sounds perfect! I can see it working on a simple transform path I've created, but if I selected tracked Mask Path keyframes, it seems to be grayed out?
