It's easy to make mistakes when you're working on multiple jobs with different deliverables for previews and final renders. QueueUp saves the output folder and render settings for each of your jobs, so you can easily switch between them throughout the day.

  • Definitely demand from my side.

I just installed it on Mac (Mac Studio, Ventura 13.4). Unfortunately it's not working: when I click on the "+" next to "add or select a job", a project titled "remove" flashes up in the Render Queue for a fraction of a second and then disappears again.

I have the same problem. Did you solve it?
  • +1 for the Mac version!
  • Same for me... eagerly awaiting Mac version!

The new one, 1.0.6, has Mac support. Try it out, and please let me know if you have any issues.

  • Awesome script. Thanks. I would really love it if the script not only added the active comp to render queue but also rendered it out to the specified path (overwriting the file in the destination if it exists). Is such a thing already possible in the current version though?
  • Great script,  Thanks!

Could you add a preference that can toggle using an "final" folder or not? I have a specific protocol that I follow for folders so I currently have to go back and remove the directory
  • Very useful script well done ! ! But since AE's last versions (on Windows) the script is curiolsy very slow : slow to load a job preset, slow to add a job in the render queue (makes a "remove" render appear and disappear and then takes a while to add the wanted render).

Hey Frank, sorry I just saw this today. I quickly made a side version for you with the checkbox. This isn't an official release, but here you go, enjoy.

Hey Joachim, Thanks! Really appreciate that it's been useful for you. I just tried it on my side with the new AE 24.5, and it's working fine. I honestly don't know how to fix your problem, but I do have one idea: Try deleting QueueUp_Script_Data.txt, and remake your presets. Let me know if that works.

Also, when you upgrade from one version to the next, you have to manually move over your previous presets. This is annoying, but we had to design the .txt file location this way for aescript's rules.

You go into (for example) C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\After Effects\24.4

and move the QueueUp_Script_Data.txt into the 24.5 folder.
