Camera Instancer will create a camera that instances the active camera from another composition. You can then cut and paste this camera into any other composition. The modifications that you make to the active camera in the first composition will be duplicated in the second composition. Even if you change the active camera!

  • Nice but what happens if I rename the comp containing my main camera?
  • If you rename the main comp, the expressions instancing the camera will break. After Effects will not update expressions like it does for layers. However, you can just replace the camera instances with new ones by running the script again.
  • How deep/wide does your script work?
Example: In your main comp, you have several precomps - that should all be linked to the same main camera. Possible?
Example: In your main comp, you have a precomp, within that precomp, you have another precomp - that should be linked to the main comp camera. Possible?

Any unsupportet settings, that the script does not support. DOF, Focus distance e.g.

    Best regards (and nice script)

  • There should be no restriction as long as comp names are unique and maintained after running the script. All camera options are supported.
