Shape Layer Toolbar gives you quick-access buttons for shape layer elements and expression controls. Set your preferred settings for each element, including expressions and gradients.
Any way to possibly make this CS6 Compatible, even if a couple of the new features were disabled? I could really do with this for the more regular options!

Hey Chris, Thanks for asking. ShapeLayerToolbar is compatible with CS6, but indeed a couple of the features won't work. I ought to put some time in tiding up the interface under CS6. Since that is not up to par I didn't list it in the compatibility tab. But it is functional under CS6. Please try out the trail version to see if it can do what you want! Regards, Daan

So I downloaded the trial to test this. But when I try to load the script this error comes up.
"Unable to execute script at line 102. undefined is not an object."
I saw on the listing that "Gradients are supported from CC 2014 (13.0) onwards. & The empty shape autosetting the tool to pen tool is supported from CC 2016 (14.0) onwards." So I just figured I would disable those buttons.
You must be updating from an earlier version. And had your own settings saved. This causes Shape Layer Toolbar to still look for the CC13 gradients. I've added the CS6 gradients for backwards compatibility.
To solve this you could: - click "Clear the autoload filepath" in the settings, - then
click "Save setting to file" and after that, - click "Set autoload file"
and select the file you just saved.
Or you could set some new gradient fills and gradients strokes. Or you could manually edit your saved settings file and search and replace CC13 with CS6.
That should stop SLT from showing the message.
In any case I'd be happy to help you. If you open a support ticket I can help you out directly. Regards, Daan

So far as I can tell the only button that actually does anything in that panel is the Cancel button and that's not guaranteed, as I've had to force-quit AE a number of times when this panel has frozen it. It's not like I'm using some ancient, slow memory machine.
Sorry about that.
The trial version should work now.
I hope you enjoy the toolbar.
I'll upload an updated version shortly.

Any ideas on the cause of the script error?
Thanks,
Chris
I'll get back to you when I've had time to fix this.

Thanks for the kind words!
This should work in both 2021 and 2022.
I've updated Shape Layer Toolbar.
I hope everything is also working properly in 22.4 now.
If not, please open a support ticket!
The current version of ShapeLayerToolbar works in AE 2023.
I'll try to update the page and the install file in the coming days.
If you are having any trouble please open a support ticket, so I can help you directly.
Sorry to hear that it isn't working as expected.
You might still need to set an autoload file. Could that be it?
