    A shame that all of my pixel bender projects were graphs. Looks like I'll still be porting my own projects manually :P

  • We just updated to version 1.01 which fixes this problem.  Please download the Free Trial or log into your account to download the new version and re-install and please let us know if you are still experiencing any problems.

    Great Job!

    A few problems still occure:

    _I think there is RGB to BGR issue.
    _Popup parameter seems to be limited to 2 options.
    _Parameters don't come in the same order as set by code writer.

    Do other people have those issues? May be I did it wrong...

    Anyway, this plugin is a great idea! Pixel Bender plugins are so convenient.
    I've been trying to understand how to deal with the AE SDK to put my PB plugins to native ones, but just gave up...

  • Hi, I'm Koizumi.

    The plugin uses different color structure, so R and B flips. But <aeParameter:aeColor;> meta tag resolves the problem.

    The parameter oders are different, they are sorted by their types.

    You can get more infomation from manual.

     

    But the popup parameter's limits may be bug.

    Please send me ( koizumim83[at]gmail.com) the kernel file, I will check and fix it.

    Thank you so much for this plug-in.

    But I get an OpenGL error when proccesing some effects.

    The PBK is the effect called "omino glass" which can be downloaded from the link below

    I'm using OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion, GPU for OpenGL is ATI Radeon HD5870, and version of AE is CS6.

    Please check if the bug could be fixed or not.

  • Sorry, I forgot to mension the error message.

    The message is..

    "After Effects warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands."

    the error also occured when using othe effects.

    Now I know some effects are not supported....

    On my PC (win7, AMD Radeon HD7700), omino glass works with PBKA.

    The avalablity depends on GPU and driver.

    But the error message sounds like error of plugin.

    Could you tell me all pbk does not work or not on your machine?

  • I forgot to mension the important:

    omino glass works with PBKAccelerator version "1.07" or upper.

    and does not works with version 1.06 or older.

    Now I think I know what caused the problem.
    I was applying the PBKAccelerator on Adjustment layer.
    If I precompose the layers and apply the effect to the comp, 
    the error did not occur.

    I have not tested much effects actually.
    The other effect I tested was "ft-CubicDistortion.pbk" .
    This also did not work on Adjustment layer, but worked
    on precomps.
    Version of PBKAccelerator is 1.07

    Maybe an Adjustment layer is not supported or is it a bug?

    But on my windows machine, the bug is not reproduced.

    So it's hard for me to check where the bug come from, plugin, GPU or AE.

    Currently, please use this plugin with precomposing the target layer.

    I use AE CS6 11.0.2.12. I need this plugin to work with droste effect. I used this one http://www.subblue.com/projects/droste. But droste.pbk doesn't work correctly with PBK Accelerator! By default when I load Droste.pbk it's applying it and looking cool. But if I change any parameters in droste effect it apply it in the wrong way. Becomes uncontrollable! Can you make update or something! Thank you.

    Some GPU does not support "for" or "while" sentence in the pbk, and droste uses "while" sentence.

    Updating GPU driver (or upgrade GPU itself) may help, but be careful that

    updating GPU may make unstable other applications.

    Hi! Thanks! On my PC (win7 x64 pro, GPU: inno 3D GeForce GTX 670 Hercules) all drivers is up to date. Double check it. But I still have that problem. Maybe you right with sentences support. That is bad ( out of luck perhaps.

    I've got a problem of instability of the PBKA in CS6.
    It sometimes works well, and sometimes gives me a blank image (black with 0 alpha channel).
    This happens specially when the PBKA is in a precomp, controlled from outside the precomp.

    I found out that putting an FX over it can solve the problem, but only if you change the value of that FX (I did it with a fast blur for example).
    It might mean the PBKA works when you force rendering... Any idea? Note: it works fine in CS4...

    Another problem: i get a "8bit like" render, even in 16bits or 32 bits. Is it due to GPU?

    I've tried in CS5.5, and it works fine also... seems the refreshment problem appears only in CS6.

    Do you have aep for replay the problem?

    If you have, could you send me it (koizumim83[at]gmail.com) with .pbk file.

    The rendering is always 32bit internally, so it looks almost same image.

    I think the replay problem comes from OpenGL, as it doesn't react the same way under CS4, CS5.5 and CS6.

    For the 8bits like render, i sent you an e-mail with example...

  • PBKAccelerator is crashing whenever I load subblue's two amazing pixel bender plugins
    DrosteEffectFilter and FractalExplorer

    Pixel Bender "Kernel" Accelerator (PBKA) is finished to support.
    Please check it on Pixel Bender Accelerator(PBA) and upgrade.

    But I found that Fractal Explorer does not work on PBA.
    (Droste.pbk and FractalExplorerOrbitTraps.pbk works on PBA)
    And it works on PBKA.
    So I think it is a bug of PBA. I will fix and upgrade it.

    Now I fixed the problem FractalExplorer.pbk is not available.
    It is available in Pixel Bender Accelerator version 1.04.
    Please try this.

    I am investigating using this plugin with command that would be supported on opengl ES 2.0.

    I was wondering if it would be possible to get access to the output opengl es shader code so it could be imported into our engine?

    This would allow my team to create shaders in AE and get the same result in the engine obviously :)

  • I'm sorry but it is not supported that to provide the shader code.

    (I also think that the opengl shader and es shader are different so it is not valid code for opengl es. )
