    Since Adobe only let you download the previous version now, is there an opposite version of this that will downconvert?
    If not please build one!
    Also how far back can this go, and are there plans to keep making it go further. IU have twenty year old projects I would love to open again

    Hello. Our script only opens files that your after installation can open and saves for the current version. It just automates the process to do it in batch.

    If you have to convert a lot of very old files (version 6.0 and earlier) you need to use the CS6 version of after effects. Because it can open these very old files. It's the only way for now.

    We have plans to develop a tool to downgrade the version of AEP files. But not for this year.

    Hello.

    The latest versions of After Effects can open up to AEP files version CS1. To open older AEP files (AE 7...), you need to use After Effects CS6 or earlier.

    AEP files from very old versions of After Effects will only open if your After Effects installation can open them. For example: It is only possible to open files from version 6.0 with After Effects version CS6 or earlier.
