• Lotsa other problems, then I finally did it: it was all because they were text layers. With text layers (even when using Convex hull) NWT does a lot of unpredictable stuff. Converted one by one to shapes and than finally it worked as expected.

it didn't. Actually I found the problem is not "caching" keyframes but the fact that NWT animates correctly only 4 (the first 4 from bottom) AE layers, than totally ignores all the AE keyframes of the other layers. Changing layers order doesn't work. It just "reads" only the keyframes from those layer, ignoring other layers' keyframes.

Select your object, right click and choose "reset body transform".
    Does this fix your issue?

Newton 4, I'm changing AE keyframes (scaling) for the layers (in NWT they are AEmatic) but there is no way the changes are registered inside NWT. They just keep on animating on older AE keyframes, like the old keyframes are cached in NWT, no matter what I do with the keyframes externally in AE. Tried to copy the layer to a new comp, but nothing. Is it possible to solve this urgently? Thanks

  • Glad you sorted out.
Most of the time, we can help if you send us a minimal version of you after effects project (.aep) and Newton settings.
Sending this will help us to understand what is causing your issue, help us tracking down bugs...

  • I have read through all the promotional materials and watched the videos on V4, what I am wondering is if it is any faster than V3 - which I own. Even on my AMD5950X, V3 is pretty dang slow... Thanks!
  • Speed perf are pretty much the same.
Just like any other physic simulation engine, you need to optimize your scene to have real time preview.

  • Ok, I got the new version. I forget if there was a way to make the text larger in the UI? On a 4K monitor full screen... my old eyes are not liking the 4 pt text :)
  • Nop sorry. But I'll add this to our future features.
