Depth of Field

    I have some basic video footage I'd like to bring in a depth of field effect on.  (Non 3D stereo)  Is there a script to help in this.  I was wondering if there might be something creating a Z depth which could then be used in perhaps an alpha matte to then combine with a blur effect.
