By layering different Voronoi patterns, variations in complexity can be achieved. YY_Voronoi provides a way to generate Voronoi diagrams in After Effects, with extra options to control animatio…

  • Is a CS6 version in the works?
  • Hey Navarro,

Unfortunately, there are currently no plans for a CS6 version due to the complexity of this plugin. Perhaps consider using the similar effect "Generate -> Cell Pattern" for now?

  • Does this work with Pixel Bender Kernel Accelerator?
  • Not to my knowledge, and I don't think it's technically possible for me to make it work either. Sorry.

  • Hi Andrew,

here's another vote for a CS6 version of this very fine plugin. AE's Cell Pattern is still 8bit only, so not a valid alternative.
Hope you're ready to take the plunge one day :)

The native version is being developed and will hopefully be published soon.  Going native involves complete re-write in a completely different programming language so it's not a trivial process :)
  • Where does this install to in After Effects?  I put it in plugins but cannot see how to use it?  Thanks

You apply it to any layer from the Effect menu just like any other AE plugin: http://helpx.adobe.com/after-effects/using/plug-ins.html

Hi.  Thanks for your reply.  The problem is that I do not see it as an effect to apply.  It isn't listed there.  It is in the plugins folder though.

Are you using a compatible version? Please note from the description that this plugin is not compatible with CS6 or above
