• any chance of a 2019 compatible version?
Yes mercury is 2019 compatible. If you expirence any trouble try lowering the blur level to get your desired effect
  • What is the difference between Mr.cc Mercury?

Hey yh lee CC Mr Mercury is more for particle/ physics based liquid simulations. It's similar to a CC particle world in that you can generate 'objects with velocity and physics based restrictions but instead of particles you get blobby liquid objects. The mercury script above is for those that want to achieve a similar effect but want full control over the movement and scale of object being effected by the liquid simulation.
  • Hi Casey. Is there a new release for Mercury for use in CC2019? Border doesn't work correctly in the new version? Thanks Owen

  • Hi, I'm getting the following error when I run Mercury:

    Error at line: 107
    ReferenceError: Object is invalid

I'm using AE 17.1.1 on OSX 10.15.5 with Mercury 1.2

My comp contains 256 4 point ellipse shapes and nothing else. They have been animated in Newton3, so contain multiple keyframes.

    Can you help me?
    Thanks.

  • Also  Error at line: 107
    is it fixed?
  • If you are getting Error at line:107 all you have to do is close the script window and relaunch the script.
  • When I try extending the length of a composition, the mercury effect only goes for as long as the original length of the composition.  After that it pops back to its solid state.  I tried deleting and then reapplying the mercury null so it would last the entire duration, but it changed the deformations too much (I think I ended up doubling the effect.)  Is there any way to fix this, or to remove and reapply the effect to a composition?

  • Great script! Closing and reopening the panel fixed the 107 error for me.
  • Is anyone having issues with this on an M1 Mac?  I run the script and my shapes disappear, but I can still see the node.

Here is a simple example of a new element under the mercury node and not be affected.
