Was wondering if I could take a mocap file (any type I guess, as long as I could convert it) and then import it into AE where each animated bone would be turned into an animated null.
I don't know much about how animated files are structured. Ive messed with Motion Builder, and I have used .fbx, .dmx and .bvh before.
Hi Lloyd, I had a look at that a few months ago, the format is pretty standard, several software use it and you can find a few bvh files online. If I remember it's close to obj files in a way.
BVH Importer parses joint skeleton structures and accompanying motion data, and transforming them into Solid/Null based skeleton animation for use in After Effects.
