Hi there - just downloaded AfterCodecs for AME. All is working great, but I need my exports to be a specific CBR bitrate and that does not seem to be possible with the settings available with this plugin.
I am able to change the value of the video bitrate, but it seems that it defaults to VBR, meaning the actual average bitrate of the video rendered does not come anywhere close to the value I've entered.
Please let me know if there is something I am missing,

Hi Ryan
We do have a kinda a CBR but it can increase the bitrate a bit if the video is really complex. Having a real CBR limit would result in really bad quality sometimes but thanks for the feature idea, we will consider it.
It'd help also if you send us some video samples by contacting us / opening a support ticket
Why do I have to pay 3 times for the same plugin for After Effects, Premier Pro, and Media Encoder. I find that you asking to much.
Hi Kevin
Those are different plugins ! The software are different, with different SDKs. But we try to make it so that you have the same options everywhere to simplify thinking about what options you need for encoding (same in all software and all platforms). Also, there is a discount when purchasing all three Adobe software
AfterCodecs won't complete a render on Windows 11 or Mac OS Monterey when exporting HAP. Please be aware if purchasing for this reason like I was. Looking for other solutions now.

Hi Chris,
Please open a support ticket about that issue. AfterCodecs is working fine, but if you are running the trial (you need to enter the license to unlock the trial), then you will be limited to 500 frames
Hi, why render H264 .mp4 output non Square Pixels (1.01:1) 120:67(1.79), does this affect the quality?
Hi, please open a support ticket with more details and files. This might come from your project settings, not AfterCodecs. Changing the ratio of the pixels doesn't change quality usually it's only a metadata
Hi. I'm trying to install the AfterCodecs v1.10.10, but the installer gives me this warning (image below). It says that I "have the latest vcredist VS 2019" installed, but nevertheless issues a warning? I don’t understand why and what I can do to fix it. tia

Hello! What are the limitations of the trial mode?
I'm pondering to buy this plugin since AME's compression results are ALWAYS off.
Hello
H264 resolutions under 720p are unlimited. For all others codecs and resolutions it is limited to 500 frames (about 20 seconds at 25 fps)
Thank you! I rendered my 720p at nearly 15000 frames 25 FPS, near perfect result and the filesize is just impossibly small! Now I'm looking for the H.265.
Is there any way I can pay with wire transfer or ACH? Nobody uses PayPal these days lol (Lloyd, please add wire/ACH transfer).

so many others have reported the same issue and reported slow response times so not sure if one more duplicate ticket helps I'm happy to.
Right now in August we were slow but all others times we answered swiftly all the time ! Each case could be different. One user fixed the issue after a macOS update
Hi, I'm troubleshooting Adobe Media Encoder 2023 crashing on launch on OSX Monterery so I need to uninstall After Codecs, but there seems to be no uninstall option.
Hi, I'm troubleshooting Adobe Media Encoder 2023 crashing on launch on OSX Monterery so I need to uninstall After Codecs, but there seems to be no uninstall option.
How do I uninstall the software?
Thanks
Hi Fabio
In the downloaded zip there is an uninstall folder with a .pkg / .exe to launch uninstall of any Autokroma plugin. Please open a support ticket if AfterCodecs is crashing at launch for you !
Hi i'm having this crash issue with the latest Premiere Pro.
Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?
Hi Antonio
This can come from issues in your PrPro project. Does it happen for others codecs or others exporters ?
This can also come from a non valid resolution, for example odd width
Thanks for your answer! But no, this only happens when trying to batch export with after codecs, if I just export one file it works perfectly. I've tried exporting in mov and mp4 and its the same. This issue only happens in some projects, though.
EDIT: Nevermind, I changed the sequence settings and it worked! Thanks a lot, this plugin really saves me a looot of time

by the way ,with Influx 1.2.4, webm file with alpha channel seem could not be read alpha in after effect 2023 (also interpret footage >main>alpha option is gray). but premiere 2023 could.

Hi Peter
Please open a support ticket for Influx with a sample file so we can fix this.
Yes we are studying support for WebM with Alpha Channel for AfterCodecs
If the file import to the After Effect,After Effect will show that no contain an alpha channel. but If the file import to the Premiere Pro,Premiere Pro will show that Alpha: Straight Alpha, and if drag the file to PR timeline , alpha channel work too.

Hello Peter
After studying this issue, we found the core issue. We're still preparing a fix ! Thank you for reporting this
In your opinion, what is the best MP4 setting that will result in the most "uncompressed" look and feel. I have a client that's being very specific about "crispness".

Hi Luke
For sure if you want crispy footage you need YUV 4:4:4 so that color borders around high contrast zones are preserved (for example text).
But the downside is that some players will not accept it. Quicktime Player might not play it, Windows Media Player won't play it etc. You need to be sure your client will use a player that is compatible (VLC Media Player, DJV View etc. https://darbyjohnston.github.io/DJV/ )

A quick word to Autokroma. Recently I purchased the three After Codecs set for Adobe. I wish to say it has been a blessing, especially in Premiere Pro. I am yet to see whether it makes life easier in After Effects and Adobe Media Encoder. This is to say Adobe currently permits AE to render frame rates such as 18 fps.
One question, could the installation and activation of After Codecs contributed to AE taking longer to boot?

Hi Peter,
Please open a support ticket with your problem. AfterCodecs for AME supports 18 fps but not builtin exporters. Not sure what you mean for After Effects, it is supported too.
In some cases where there is a loading issue, AfterCodecs could take a few more seconds to load in the AE startup time yes. How long is that for you ?

Hi Peter,
This alpha channel bug in AEfx has been fixed in Influx v1.3.0, please update for free !
1.3.0 (Current version) - 16 March 2023
Files that had no duration in metadata couldn't be imported, now fixed (Thanks Charwin !), especially useful for some videos downloaded from YouTube
After Effects : alpha channel was sometimes missing, now fixed (Thanks Peter !)
Audio conforming took a lot of time in some special cases, making Influx decoding unresponsive, now fixed (Thanks Benson !)
Some files couldn't be decoded and were fixing "unknown pixel format" error, now fixed (Thanks Etan !)
Some audio streams with more than 8 audio channels were not properly decoded, now fixed
Update to ffmpeg v5.1 libraries : support for decoding QOI (Quite OK Image Format), JPEG XL, MSN Siren, GEM Raster and Speex audio, only works if you import them with the .influx suffix extension
macOS : minimum supported version is now 11.0 / 10.16 (Big Sur)
If I have already bought a license for one platform and now I want to buy the other two platforms, is there a discount like "AfterCodecs Full Adobe Suite" for that?
