Add Parented Null to Selected Layers

This package consists of two scripts:
- Add Parented Null to Selected Layers.jsx will create a new null and parent all the selected layers to it.
- Add Parented Null to Each Selected Layer.jsx will create a parented null for each of the selected layers. The new null can have a custom name defined in the User Variables section and also has the option of including the name of the layer that is parented to it.

Thanks Lloyd. This does what it says on the tin.
What I’d really like to see though, is a version for 3D layers with an option to zero all the child’s values. Process something like: Add new null, make 3D, parent to (previously) selected layer, zero out all transform properties, un-parent from selected layer, parent selected layer to null layer.
I do this all the time, it acts like the ‘group’ command in C4D.

Good point! Download v1.5. Besides inheriting the 3D state of the layer it also inherits the transform (position and rotation) plus parented state of the layer. So if your layer was already parented the null will be squeezed in between and will be in the same position as the layer. I think this will come in very handy. Thanks for the feature request!
Do you have a script that copies all settings from one layer to another? Now I have to copy all positinon, scale an rotation manualy and then arrrange my 3d layers in the space, but I wanna do it automatically.
