CreateProxies

Version: 2.2 Sign up to be notified by email when a new version of this script is posted
This script creates proxy for each selected project item (footage or comp). It is similar to the built-in “Create Proxy” feature except that with this script you can create proxy for several items in a single operation.

Hey just bought the create proxies. Great script, but I’m having difficulty rendering to current settings. The files are rendering to the same resolution they start at 960×540 when I use the script. When I do them myself (individually) at current they render to 320×180. How can I change rendering settings with this script?

When I apply the script room a warning saying “The script cannot find the preferences file. What is the problem?
Thanks.
Hi, i am getting the same error as javier latorre Zacarés
thanks (by the way very good script!)
Hi @Javier + @catfighter,
probably you are using an after effect version which is neither english no french, therefore you have to manually show the app where your preferences file is situated.
Under Windows you will find it under:
C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\After Effects\10.0
or
C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\After Effects\9.0
according to your after effects version.
and the file is called something like
Adobe After Effects 10.0-x64 Einstellungen.txt
Where Einstellungen = equivalent to the english word “prefs”
In this releas we have lost the “Set to none” bottom.
It was useful for me…
I’ve removed this option because there is a bug in CS5 in the “set proxy to none” function. The bug has been reported to the AE team.
When running the script, the set proxy link seems to break, and in the render queue the post render action is set to link the proxy to “This Comp” which results in an error, so the script fails to render the proxies. I have to pick whip each one individually even though the “output to” dialog is set to Comp Name. (CS4)
I am getting the same error as Javier (
Hey Everyone,
We are looking for a way to make this script “NOT RENDER” once it has built the proxies and render queue list. Instead of tying up the local machine, we will then send the AE file to our render farm. We looked into the .jsx file but were unable to figure out how to stop the actual “Rendering” once the script is run.
thanks,
