Description

Extremely Short Demo

Not pictured: ft-Toolbar integration

This is a simple script that will quickly show the folder where the open After Effects project resides in the filesystem, aka a Finder window or Windows Explorer window. While it can be run as a standalone ScriptUI Panel, it shines when integrated with ft-Toolbar or rd: Script Launcher. Save minutes a day!

Features

  • Works on OSX, Windows, and iOS(kidding).
  • Plays nicely with ft-Toolbar.
  • Takes the guesswork out of where AE saved your last project.
  • Minimize wasted time traversing convoluted file heirarchies.
  • Be a frood who knows where, exactly your .aeps are.

Bonus, it will attempt to hilight the aep in the directory on OS X using applescript. I'm not sure how to do this on windows, but if it's possible I can try it.

Tested on CS4 through CC. It should work on CS3 but I have not tested it.
