As an animator/vfx artist and story-teller - I wanted to make an influence in the motion graphics and vfx community myself.
This is loosely based on a true story. A management team of this company was blown away by my reel - but they would not pay me to do the work. So I stood up for myself and later on - things worked out better for me.
I guess what I'm saying is - don't be disrespectful - but don't bet against yourself if you know you put thousands of hours into your work. Stand up for yourself and have enough self respect to walk away from a bad thing.
I want to add some strength to my generation of animators and be an inspiration to those - especially - who are starting out.
Things worked out but this is one of those stories that happened at a studio in Los angeles.
