Animography Monthly is a monthly recurring animation project to explore the use of animated typefaces. Steffen Knoesgaard, from Berlin, show the beauty of math with his elegant short,'Ten'.
Steffen Knoesgaard: 'Today’s tools for creating digital images are built on the framework of geometric algebra. Introduced by English mathematician and philosopher William Kingdon Clifford, it's operations have the effect of mirroring, rotating, translating, and mapping modelled objects.
Clifford is also well regarded in the field of philosophy. This film explores geometry as a visual language and introduces it as a design element to support his philosophical writings.'
“No simplicity of mind, no obscurity of station, can escape the universal duty of questioning all that we believe.”
—William Kingdon Clifford
