Null is not an object Error

If you are getting an "Unable to execute script at line xxx: Null is not an object" error, it means that After Effects does not have access to the file system.

This can be due to many reasons but here are a few common ones:

1. Firewall
2. Folder permissions
3. Corporate permissions
4. Folder locked
5. Virus Blocker
6. After Effects scripting file access preference setting
7. Dropbox, OneDrive or similar 3rd party software blocking access

Please note these are just suggestions and it could be something else, you will need to check your system to see what is blocking the access.

Once After Effects can access the file system the script will work as expected.
